Ultima Semana Global Startup Lab

Llego a su ultima semana el GSL, después de todo el recorrido hasta este día parece que fue ayer cuando se presentaron algunas ideas innovadoras y se tomaron las mas factibles cuando apenas éramos aun desconocidos, después de este tiempo muchos nos hemos echo amigos y formamos lazos de amistad y compromiso con los integrantes de este curso, se soportaron desveladas y estrés pero al final todo valió la pena nos sentimos listos,  los equipos nos estamos preparando para la exposición final  el día 6 de agosto y todos queremos ganar el primer lugar

Lamentablemente son menos las personas que entramos a las que saldremos con el curso finalizado sin embargo con este esfuerzo tomamos nuevas experiencias y conocimientos los cuales nos servirán por el resto de las vidas

The Last Week 

The last week in GSL has come, after all the travel until today, seems that was yesterday when some innovative ideas were presented and the most feasible were chosen when everybody were strangers for everybody. After all that time a lot of us have become friends and we have created bonds of friendship and compromise with the course members. There have been nights with no sleep at all and lots of stress but despite all, everything has been worth it. Teams are almost ready for the final presentations on August 6th and we all want to win first place. Sadly there are less people ending this course than the people we were when it all started, although, with all of the effort put we took a lot of new experiences and knowledge that will be useful for the rest of our lives.

Dopamine wishes you success to all GSL entrepreneurships and may the best win!

Sin duda una experiencia única, el ritmo de trabajo, el desarrollo en nuestras exposiciones, el crecimiento en el dominio del inglés han sido de gran aporte en nuestro desarrollo. Es una lastima que esto ya vaya acabar, aprendimos mucho gracias a las asesorías y cátedras de los profesores, y de misma manera agradecemos por lo significativo e impactante de este verano.

Hemos conocido a muchas personas de otros lugares que inclusive ahora son amigos, y que en un futuro sabemos que podemos contar con ellos en alguna situación.

Coincidimos en                 que hubo un crecimiento  personal, emocional y profesional ya que siempre estuvimos muy exigidos  en el desarrollo de las principales competencias y en el uso de herramientas tecnológicas que nunca habíamos usado. 

En conclusión fue un gran verano, experiencias totalmente nuevas, grandes profesores, excelentes feedbacks y una nueva visión con un panorama más amplio.

Without a  doubt a unique experience, the workflow, the improvement of our pitches and our growth in the english language have taken a great part of our development. It is a  shame it is about to end. We learned a lot thanks to the mentorship and lectures of our professors. And  in the same way thank them for the significant of the impact of this summer.

We've known a lot of people of other places and we now we even are friends, and that in a future we know we can relay on them in a situation.

We all agree that there was a significant personal, emotional and professional development, because we were always very demanded to develop or main competences and the usage of technological tools we had never used.

To conclude it was a great summer, with new experiences, great teachers, excellent feedbacks and a new vision with a wider picture.

We are running on the 6th week of GSL and so far the experience has been really awesome! We learned how to get from the idea through various brainstorming techniques, market validation with research and surveys, real prototyping of our applications and proper cost and pricing analysis.

The most interesting part has been to be able to evolve our ideas each week incorporating all the feedback and techniques taught by our instructors Aravind, Alhely, Amrita and Estefanía. To whom we are really grateful for their time an patience with us!

There is just one week left for the final pitch and while amount of work has become intense, we are so motivated to deliver our best hoping to get our ideas to the next level and create real companies out of this program!

One of our main challenges these days in the program has been to overcome the status quo, to dare to give more than what is expected, to leave aside the personal aspect. Each of us has his own background story and that should help us to motivate us even more.

Being an entrepreneur means to go forward, leave everything behind and reinvent ourselves to become better leaders, professionals, friends, sons and better human beings overall. Carpe Diem

¡Ya estamos en la 6ta semana del GSL, y hasta ahora la experiencia ha sido bastante buena! Hemos aprendido como llevar una idea a través de distintas técnicas creativas para enriquecerla, validarla con el mercado a través de investigación y encuestas, elaborar verdaderos prototipos y realizar un análisis serio de costo y precio.

La parte más interesante ha sido ser capaces de evolucionar nuestras ideas semana con semana incorporando la retroalimentación y técnicas compartidas por nuestros instructores Aravind, Ahlely, Amrita y Estefania. ¡Con los que estamos muy agradecidos por su tiempo y paciencia con nosotros!

Ya solo queda una semana para el pitch final, y a pesar de que la cantidad se trabajo se ha vuelto intensa, estamos muy motivados para dar nuestro mejor esfuerzo esperando poder llevar nuestras ideas al siguiente nivel y poder crear compañías reales como resultado del programa.

 Uno de nuestros principales retos en estos días de curso ha sido vencer el estado de comodidad, atrevernos a dar más de lo que nos piden los mentores, dejar de lado el aspecto personal. Cada quién tiene su propia historia detrás y eso debe motivarnos cada vez más.

Ser emprendedor significa seguir delante y dejar todo detrás, reinventarnos para ser mejores líderes, profesionistas, ser mejores amigos y mejores hijos... ser mejores seres humanos. Carpe diem.

Being part of GSL, has been a great experience foreach of us, we have learned many things about technology, design, entrepreneurship, and leadership; that have helped us to grow not only as entrepreneurs, but as persons. 

Thanks to the feed back that have given us we have achieved our projects made grow .his week we worked on the prototype of our website or application, structuring information and putting into practice what we had learned about design, which after many attempts we can finish. On the other hand, we work on our business model taking into account the different types of business models out there. 

We only have two weeks to complete and a lot of work on our projects, We have to be useful the time that we still have.

Ser parte de GSL, ha sido una gran experiencia para cada uno de nosotros, hemos aprendido diversas cosas  sobre temas de tecnología, diseño, emprendimiento, y liderazgo; que nos han ayudado a crecer no solo como emprendedores, sino como personas.

Gracias a las retroalimentaciones que nos han dado, hemos logrado hacer crecer nuestros proyectos. En esta semana trabajamos en el prototipo de nuestra página, estructurando la información y poniendo en práctica lo que habíamos aprendido sobre diseño, que después de muchos intentos logramos terminar. Por otro lado, trabajamos sobre nuestro modelo de negocios tomando en cuenta los distintos tipos de modelos de negocios que hay. 

Sólo nos faltan dos semanas y mucho por trabajar en nuestros proyectos, tenemos que aprovechar al máximo el tiempo que nos queda.

GSL experience

These past weeks thanks to our participation in GSL we've been introduced to many very interesting persons, both alumni and every one of our mentors. Each with different skills but with the same goal: to develop our ideas.

The time here has been of intense work and dedication. However, we understand you need that for entrepreneurship. We've acquired loads of knowledge and with the different tools covered so far we are realizing how our original idea keeps being mutated. Specially because of the different observations and the diverse backgrounds of the whole class as well as our mentors. Little by little the projects keep getting more solid.

Thanks to the constant examples our advisers give us of how other business came to fruition or failure we keep getting knowledge to achieve success ourselves. Not only that, but we also believe these methods will serve in the future, to be applied to any new ideas and take them to a success.

ExperienceGSL

This week has been very intense both in theory and in practice ,we have also made ??some presentations and feedback to make constructive criticism of the exhibits to go polishing and familiarizing ourselves with our pitches .

The whole group is comfortable with the methods and exercises we have done with our instructors ,since rarely were we in doubt at the end of a session , we felt comfortable as a group and we have shared valuable information and feel a mutuality between all partners .

Experiencia GSL

En esta semana ha sido muy intensa tanto en teoría como en práctica, hemos hecho algunas presentaciones y también realizado feedback para hacer críticas constructivas de las exposiciones para ir puliendo y familiarizándonos con nuestros pitchs .

Todo el grupo se siente a gusto con los métodos y ejercicios  que hemos realizado con nuestros instructores, puesto que muy rara vez quedamos con dudas  al finalizar una sesión, nos sentimos a gusto como grupo ya que hemos compartido información valiosa  y se siente una mutualidad entre todos los  compañeros.

Our GSL Experience

The first day one of the instructors said something that amazed us; he was telling us the reason why Americans make business with people in India instead of Mexico despite the distance. The argument he gave us was, “in India they speak English”. This gets us closer to the reality we are living in; what it takes for Mexico to grow is to have people with cultural flexibility. Expand our possibilities requires knowledge, and this is something this course had made us be aware of.

Our experience so far has been quite interesting. The lessons are full of useful content that we consider we can apply to real life. Instructors are well prepared in knowledge concerning. We consider the group is way too big, though; and it is difficult to get the best out of each one of us.

La experiencia GSL

El primer día lo más impactante fue cuando uno de los instructores mencionó la razón por la que los americanos hacen negocios con los hindús en lugar de los mexicanos a pesar de la distancia. La razón que nos dio fue: “ellos hablan inglés”. Esto nos acerca más a la realidad de que en el país se necesita gente que tenga la capacidad de ser culturalmente flexible para poder crecer. Expandir nuestras fronteras debe empezar con el conocimiento y esto es algo de lo que este curso nos ha hecho conscientes.

Nuestra experiencia hasta ahora ha sido muy interesante. Las clases están llenas de contenido que nos parece útil y aplicable en la vida real. Algo que nos ha encantado es el intercambio cultural que genera el tener extranjeros como instructores. Los cuatro están bien preparados en cuanto a conocimiento; sin embargo, consideramos que el grupo es demasiado grande y es difícil obtener el máximo aprovechamiento de cada uno de nosotros.

A pesar de esto, estamos satisfechos con el ambiente ameno que han sido capaces de crear y no podemos esperar a ver qué más han preparado para nosotros.
