The English premiere league has the most following. This is due to rich interactive online platforms and forums that keep the conversation going even during weekdays when there are no matches to periods the season takes a break. However, the Kenya Premiere League doesnt have these forums. The fans only get a chance to root for their teams during matches on weekends. Mpira is a mobile web/sms application that provides rich soccer contents in real time as well as game statistics, fixtures, standings, team, player and coach profiles. It also provides a social layer for discussions. This aims to give ther fans a rich experience both during and after matches. It enables people who cannot access the games due to work schedule and traffic and even high ticket costs to get real time soccer updates and experience.
