Since the world’s innovation tends to mobile technology, we have decided to fit in that trend as a company called appTouch, we are five in the team with different responsibilities, we provide ICT solutions, develop mobile application for smart phones, etc. and have decided to launch our first mobile application called voice of the people (VOP).
Voice of the people (VOP) is a mobile application for smart phones (Android, java, etc.), it serves as a middle man between citizens of a country and the media houses such as the newspapers, television and radio stations. For the newspaper section our goal is to convey user’s ‘immediate attention’ needs (within their community, security issues, electricity complains) to different newspapers to at least give them hope that their voice have been heard and they should expect change in a short time. The app basically collects information from users and the radio and television stations access them.
appTouch is a group of five young innovators with creative ideas to provide ICT solutions services. We have a proposition to launch our first mobile application called voice of the people (VOP). VOP is a mobile application for smart phones (Android, java, etc.); it basically an application that serves as an opinion-harvester from citizens to media companies like the newspapers, radio and television stations. For the newspaper section our goal is to convey users’ comments on issues requiring immediate attention as they affect us (within their community, security issues, electricity complains) to different newspapers and make their opinion counts. For other media channel the application would allow users to participate real-time in programmes and discussion taking place both in radio and television stations. Its preference would be the interesting access to participate in more than one discussion/programmes/events taking place in respective media channel.
The app basically collects information from users and reports them to various radio and television stations as demanded, so being the administrator we would ensure we create each stations administrator login as confirmed by the station.
Furthermore, we would extend the app to developing a social networking site where users can view and discuss on each other’s comments, and will on the long run serve as a hub where problems are discussed and its respective solutions are proposed afterwards. We will reward users monthly to sustain and attract more users to using the mobile app and finally we hope to extend the app to a social networking site where interested once could discuss relevant solutions to our everyday problem.
For this, we would as a team seek for the attention of the media houses, government bodies, etc. to help to focus attention of the discussions and suggested solutions.
