About Us: teleRIDE comprises two Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering and three Information Technology undergraduates from the University of Moratuwa. We have been assisted throughout our entire startup with business and technical guidance from an experienced advisory board from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). We look forward to launching our service in the next few weeks.
teleRIDE enables anyone with a mobile phone to find the nearest taxi in mere seconds. Rather than engaging in the laborious task of trying to locate an available taxi, all a user has to do is enter a USSD short code and the telephone number of nearby three wheelers will be sent via SMS. By aggregating all of Colombo's three wheelers into our single directory, we aim to become Sri Lanka's largest virtual taxi fleet.
