In Kenya, insurance companies have brokers who collect insurance premiums on their behalf. Sometimes these brokers may be rogue, never remitting the premiums to the company yet lying to the customer that they have.
Customers never find out that they have no insurance policy until they need it. Insurance companies lose up to 30% of their revenue because of this.
With E-BIMA, we protect the insurance company and the customer. Customers query the validity of their policies through a simple web search.

E-BIMA is a mobile web application, that lets a user key in a search value, such as the car registration number or identification number. The results of the search show whether such a policy exists, the company providing the insurance and other relevant details.
BIMA is the Kiswahili word for insurance.
