GSL is an MIT program aimed at fostering technology entrepreneurship through startup incubators in emerging markets around the world. Together with our partners, IBM Research and Tshimologong Digital Innovation Precinct, and by running workshops on business development, customer acquisition, entrepreneurship, and product design and development daily from June 20th-July 16th 2018 at Wits University’s Digital Innovation Precinct, Tshimologong. Our goal is for participating teams to gain knowledge, build a network and develop working prototypes by the end of the program. A typical day in the workshop will consist of technical and business lectures, project teamwork, outside speakers and mentor engagement. The program will culminate in a Demo Day where teams will pitch their new products and business plan to potential investors.
