Brazil Summer 2018

Insper
June 25, 2018 to Aug. 3, 2018

Overview

2018 MIT Global Startup Labs (MIT GSL) in Brazil: Call for applications

If you are a college student in São Paulo interested in mobile technology entrepreneurship and software development, join the MIT Global Startup Labs Program this summer to gain technical and entrepreneurial skills.

This is an intensive six-week free of charge course. Accepted students must commit to daily attendance (9am - 5pm), with homework and exercises often assigned for the evening. The MIT GSL will take place at Insper college in São Paulo from June 25 – August 3, 2018.

This is not a typical class – it’s an intensive boot camp where you will work in teams to develop and ultimately launch a mobile-app startup, gain access to mentorship, investors, contacts, and seed funding during a demo day. It is also a great opportunity to put your english to the test.

The second MIT Global Startup Labs Program at Insper will bring together gifted university students from a number of universities in São Paulo and guide them through a real-world entrepreneurial experience. Courses will focus on ideation, market research, pitching, and appropriate technology platforms, culminating with a pitch and prototype/ MVP competition (Demo Day).

Since its launch 18 years ago, the MIT Global Startup Labs (GSL) Program has been promoting economic development by cultivating young technology entrepreneurs in more than 20 countries. The MISTI country programs (in this case the MIT-Brazil Program) partner with universities, incubators, and companies to offer mobile and internet technology incubator courses led by MIT student instructors. The program is made possible in São Paulo this summer with sponsorship from TVML Foundation, in partnership with Insper, and with the support of many organizations.

If you are interested in being part of this program, please apply by 11:59pm (BSB time) on May 27, 2018.
