Mustafa Naseem is the Technical Lead for the AITI South Africa program, and is responsible for teaching the technical portion of the curriculum, which includes programming in Java and Python alongside Mobile and Web App Development in Android and Django Web Framework. Mustafa is also responsible for overseeing product development for the seven student teams, and providing technical assistance where needed. Mustafa graduated in June 2013 with a Masters in Information and Communication Technology for Development (MS-ICTD) on a Fulbright Scholarship. During his Masters, Mustafa received a graduate certificate in Science and Technology Policy and worked at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Verizon's Internet and Technology Policy group in Washington DC. Mustafa is deeply passionate about tech entrepreneurship, and apart from being one of the founding members of a social startup based out of India, Mustafa has also served as the Director of Technology for the Deming Center Venture Fund (DCVF).
