Ayodeji Adewunmi is the President and CEO of Jobberman, a company he co-founded in 2009 while in University, which operates the leading employment websites in Nigeria and Ghana. He orchestrated a seed round of financing from L5Lab and follow-up rounds from NY Hedge Fund, Tiger Global Management. In the space of three years, Jobberman has become one of the most recognised Internet brands in Nigeria and consistently rated as one of the most innovative technology companies in Africa. Mr Adewunmi is responsible for strategic orientation and regional expansion. Mr Adewunmi is a recipient of the Inaugural Malaria Awards 2006 – University Student of the Year category – for his pioneering work on malaria within the Federation of Medical Students worldwide and was named a TEDGlobal 2007 Fellow. He was a contributor to the final UN report on Youth and MDGs in 2005. He was on contract assignment with the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs & Co London Offices in Spring of 2007. In 2009, Mr Adewunmi was invited to join the New Leaders Program class of 2009 of Tallberg Foundation and named a Crans Montana New Leaders Fellow in 2010. He has addressed audiences from the University of Ghana to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Prior to his involvement with the Internet, Mr Adewunmi was the Chief Partnerships Officer of the International Young Professionals Foundation based in Brisbane, Australia. In May 2012, he moderated the High Level Panel on Innovation and Industrial Skill Development of the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment of Nigeria. He holds Bachelor’s degree in Medicine & Surgery from the Obafemi Awolowo University.
