Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, USA, Dan just graduated from MIT's Master's program in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, where he also completed his undgraduate work last year in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2009. Dan's research in the context of systems of autonomous vehicles involves both human factors engineering and automated planning algorithm design. Dan is also interested in computer science applications to finance, working both on quantitative financial analysis for Bain Capital and in high-frequency trading at Jump Trading during his summers away from MIT. Dan's other interests include tennis, running and working on a plethora of programming side-projects.
