Brian did his undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Bennington College, in Vermont. He interned at Lotus Development/IBM. After graduation Brian worked in IT consulting at Sapient and Riverton Corporation developing various software solutions in project teams. He then joined Macgregor (ITG, Inc.) and worked on their suite of institutional trading platforms, leading various design and process efforts for mission-critical solutions to the most-demanding clients. Most recently Brian joined Medullan, Inc., a Health IT consultancy as a Project Manager. In this role, Brian led several projects delivering innovative solutions aimed at patients, payers, and providers. Brian later moved into business development at Medullan and continued to contribute to the company's growth from eight employees to 50. In his first year at the MIT Sloan School of Management, Brian was appointed co-President of the Africa Business Club, was co-Director of the award-winning 2011 MIT Sloan Africa 2.0 conference, and was on the organizing team for the 2010 MIT$100K Elevator Pitch Contest. Currently, Brian is an AITI Instructor and Visiting Lecturer at Strathmore University in Nairobi, teaching Entrepreneurship to the Safaricom Academy Master's class.
