Sisam Bhandari is a rising sophomore currently studying Computer Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sisam was born in Nepal in 1999 and moved to New York when she was 9 years old. Her interest in computer science was fully realized when she participated in a selective 7-week summer program called Girls Who Code where she developed her first web app as a 10th grade student. Apart from Computer science, Sisam’s hobbies include drawing, painting, playing badminton, traveling, and watching soccer. This summer, Sisam hopes to be able to give back to the country where she was born and raised through teaching in the MIT GSL program. She is extremely excited to teach in Nepal and perhaps even more excited to be able to learn from everyone she meets along the way.
